New member...first post. Purchased a 34reqs6, would like to pull a trailer behind it for a Burgman 650 scooter. Will mounting a reciever hitch on the back be doable? Weight of scooter and trailer around 700-800 lbs.

Thanks for the tip

Cajun, the other thing - we looked at getting 1" coupler nuts to extend the feet so that they would be long enough to reach the ground. I had a hard-time finding the metric size/threads of what our sofa had so we didn't go that route.
We haven't used the counter-sunk blocks yet, so I can't tell you if they'll tip or not. But, I can tell you, the counter-sinking is required, otherwise the blocks will walk out from under the feet during the night. My first attempted was without and they definitely walked.

Dear Wowzer,
Keep in mind the frame manufacturer will void the warranty on the frame if you weld anything on it.

2012 TV backer

There is already a cable outlet and a 120v outlet on the side of the dresser so I'm assuming this would be an option during the build of this unit. It seems as though there is some backing support but only in the center area above the window. Maybe I could locate a mount that will install only to this center area and not to the sides of it where it seems to be hollow. I saw your pictures but they were of a 2013 model. My model (2012) does not have the connections on the ceiling but instead on the side of the dresser. Will there still be backing support preinstalled? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Customer,
Your unit does not have the backer in the wall. The origianl intention was to have the TV on your dresser. Sorry, I can't be more help.

Ours isn't and when we use the air bed, the sofa bed rocks back and forth unless we stack some books under the four metal legs of the bed frame.
BTW...the air bed works great and we really like the inflate/deflate mode on the built in electric air pump!

Dear Rajin Cajun,
First, no it should not be anchored to the floor.
I need a little more information to help. When you fold out the bed, does the most outward frame legs touch the floor? If not, how much are they short? Can you get me a photo or measurement?

No, the outward most metal legs do not touch the floor, when you push down that end of bed so they will touch...the wooden legs of the sofa near the window come off the floor. When my kids were in the bed, I used no more than about 2" of books under the metal legs to make sure the bed remained level so it wouldn't rock.

Sam, think of it as a giant teeter-totter. If the bed feet are on the floor, the back feet of the couch are in the air and vice versa.

Thanks for your reply Sabre Sam. If I don't have the backer board it seems as though there is a stud behind the wall above the center of the window. Can you confirm this? How wide are the studs used in this model?
Thanks

Dear Customer,
there is a vertical stud, but I'm not sure how to give you a measurement of it's location. The Stud is 1" wide.

Thanks SabreSam. My stud finder shows the vertical stud above the window to be approimately 2" wide. It measures 41"- 43 " from the washer/dryer cabinet. If I may ask one more question...do you know if the stud is wood or is it part of the aluminum framing? I plan to use 1 1/2" screws as it looks like the wall is about 2" thick. Your help is appreciated.

If you are screwing into the sidewall, all the frame/studs are aluminum tubes.

These pictures show the TV installed and removed showing the bracket. So you would want to mount your bracket in the same locations. When facing the bracket the left edge of the bracket measures 42 1/2" from the face/front of the wardrobe. The bottom edge of the bracket measures 34" from the top of the dresser.
I hope this helps. DO NOT USE LONG SCREWS OR YOU WILL GO THROUGH THE SIDEWALL.

Thanks for all of your advice SabreSam. I noticed in another post that you stated that the backer in the wall is designed/rated for a 22" TV. Can you interpret that to a weight range? I've got a larger TV in mind, but I think it only weighs about 12-13 lbs. Thanks

Dear Customer,
My warranty department say the wall limit for a bedroom TV is 10 lbs.
I hope that helps.

Again thanks. Would it be safe to assume that horizontally, the backing in the wall runs from stud to stud?

Yes there is. Just push on the back wall and you'll feel it.
