2013 34reqs-6

We are looking to purchase a 2013 Sabre 34reqs I have a 2007 - 2500 Silverado, crew cab short bed, with the duramax/allison power train. I have towed a 30' 7000 lb travel trailer but have had no experience towing a fifth wheel. From what I can tell my truck has a tow rating of 13000 lbs. I'm guessing the loaded wait of the 34reqs would exceed this limit.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback from anyone having experience towing this unit with a 3/4 ton sb. It just seems massive setting next to the Silverado and I want to be sure our truck can safely handle it. Our plans are to travel to many different areas, so we would be towing it a lot.
Appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Thanks again,

Are you sure that is the correct tow rating for your truck? What is the payload rating listed on the sticker on the driver's side door jamb?

Here the information from the drivers door label.GVWR: 9200 - GAWR:4800 - GAWR RR:
6084 lbs. The service manager at my GM dealership is the one that gave me the 13,000 lb limit. It's pretty confusing, just want to be sure too much fifth wheel for my truck.
Thanks for your help.

I'd say you're good to go. We have a 34tbok, I think similar to size and weight of what you're considering, and used to pull with s f250 gasser. It handled it fine, but I did add air bags to keep things level and firm. The diesel will pull it fine, it's the pin weight you'd need to watch. If it were me, I'd go ahead.
We switched from a 28' 7000lb tt to our 13K + lb fiver and it's much more pleasant to haul

Thanks for the reply. I know the diesel has plenty of power to pull the unit, just don't want to exceed the weight limitation that my truck can safely handle.
Thanks again for your response.
