Front cap insulation ????

I have wondered many time why the bedroom stays hot / cold when the rest is fine. For those that have the shoe box in the closet area. NOTE: there is nothing as far as insulation behind it. Just the vainer board of the box. :-/. This summer I put a wireless temp prob in the shoe box area and found that it was as high as 112 on a 92 degree day in partial shade.

Any camping will do. :-)

I removed my entire bedroom to redesign and the only insulation was a thin sheet of reflective material ,but now it in fully insulated.

I know it's not the same unit but here are pictures of my old Holiday Rambler Aluma-Lite. I had a stress crack in the front ABS plastic cap. It was less expensive to replace with Filon. It was filled with styrofoam and fiberglass.

Nope. Doesn't look like much was there. I guess i might have to insulate in there some day.

Here's a picture of our 5th wheel being built. Lot's of insulation there as you can see. I suppose there are many variations from model to model.

Took the shoe box cabinet out and installed 6" fiberglass on all surfaces in front cap and wall. Big difference in temps. Thin existing glass hanging from top had big gaps that made it very breezy. 😳

I'm slow ... can you explain what you did here? It looks like you out insulation in the front cap and then closed off the shoe box?

Well in most cases this not a lot of insulation. It's par and not a lot to be expected of it. Later RJD

Front cap insulation ????

This radiant barrier product has a R9 value. Light weight and easy to install I sprayed 3M glue and applied it to the cap and rolled in around the corners and top to close in attic and side wall gaps along with the floor cavity. Thinking anything larger would settle in time and not hold to the walls.

Any camping will do. :-)
