New 2015 Sabre 33RETS Owner

Sabre Owners,

My wife and I purchased a 2015 Sabre from RVW a couple weeks ago. We pick it up in about 2 weeks. We're very excited and have enjoyed reading your posts on this forum.

I do need a little bit more help. We are driving up from NC to pick up the Sabre in OH. After pickup, we're planning to spend 2 nights in a nearby campground to get everything situated and then head up straight to Alaska (moving there for at least a few years) with as many personal effects as we can cram in the truck. We know it's not ideal to pick it up and go straight there, but we don't have much of an option.

Background Story: We owned a Cherokee Light TT and a Sprinter 311BHS TT over a 4 year span. We reluctantly had to sell the Sprinter when the Air Force decided to move us to Japan. Fast forward 5 years and here we are moving back to the states after 3 years in Japan and a 2 year stint in England. We had the opportunity to come back to NC to visit family and found the RV we wanted along with a new F-250. After finishing up in England, I'm meeting the family back in NC to begin the trek up north.

Here's where I need some sound advice. With only a day to prep the Sabre in the campground, what recommendations do you guys have for upgrades that we should do immediately or systems that we should spend more time checking? I already have an EMS enroute and intend to install it the day after receiving it.

Any suggestions you guys have would be greatly appreciated. It's been 5 years since we spent any time in an RV and this will be my first time towing a fifth wheel. I figure I've got about 4,000 miles of driving to figure it out.

Thanks,

Josh

Welcome to the Sabre family and congrats on your new 33RETS! During your 2 nights at a nearby campground I'd suggest you check everything thoroughly including the tire air pressure.
