Palomino Sabre Cargo Carrier handling 450 Lbs.

My Sabre 31CKTS came with the cargo carrier, and is rated at 450 lb. carrying capacity. Has anyone used this to carry a 400 lb motor scooter, like a Vespa or Burgman?

Thanks. I guess I really need confirmation on that cargo carrier's ability to handle 450 lbs. if so, it really shouldn't matter what is on it, but what the gross weight is.

That's 450 lbs static weight.
If there's any possible way the scooter can bounce I'd be very careful.
I hual my side kick grill and cornhole boards on it.
When we dry camp I hual coolers on it.

I agree. I wanted to see if there's anyone else out there with any experience hauling that kind of weight on a cargo carrier that's frame mounted.

I think you'd be fine.

I'll email someone in the know.

This is the official response from sabre.

"We do not recommend it. This rack is designed for bicycles only."

You mean they put a 450lb limit on it but it is not 'safe' to carry 450bls?
