Sabre 33rkts6 spongy floor

Has anyone experienced a spongy or sagging floor before? This has been getting worse as we use the rig. The problem seems to be along the entire floor, door to rear end.

We have a 33CKTS and I think we are going to have issues. Our slides leak while driving in the rain or on wet roads. Don't know if it is around the sides or from the wheels spinning it up through the bottom. What year is your trailer?

Our 299 RKDS has the same issue last month driving thru the hurricane on the east coast. Water is coming up past the sweep seal under the slide out and soaking carpet the full length of the slide.

To better see the problem, run the slide out about two feet, then run it back in one foot allowing the seal to flip back toward the interior. Now sitting under the slightly extended slideout run your fingertips up to the bottom of the slide floor and over the top of that seal. Feel the carpet inside and how easily water under pressure can get over the top of the seal and into the camper!

My solution for the 13 foot slide out was to acquire 11' 7" of sweep seal from the dealer, they should all carry it in bulk, (3" wide x 1/8" thick) attach it to a one inch square piece of wood then treat that wood with spray-on truck bed liner to prevent rotting. Then mount this assembly with wood screws to the underside of the slideout so that the seal just touches the frame of the camper wall (when slide out is closed) right where the factory seal is located. Basically creating a double lip seal.

Caulk on the screws should stop any future issues, time will tell.

I appreciate the "fix" Penny but we have had it at the repair shop three times and it still leaks. Now I have slide motors going bad and slide must be off track as the bedroom slide is now ripping the window weather seals out of the frame. Not happy with my Sabre except for the floorplan.

Us too!

We also have the 33RKTS, a 2014, and it does have a sagging floor, mostly near the entry door. Our entry steps also sag when we step on them, which we were told is caused by the sagging floor. Our Sabre has been at the factory since August 20th, so I can't tell you what they have done to repair it, but they were talking about removing the entire living area, and laying a new sub-floor. To our knowledge, we have not had any leaks in that area, but I don't know if they have found the cause.

We had saggy and squeaky floor in our 32 RCTS. When the Sabre Service guys looked at it at the Goshen rally. They found a couple of broken frame welds. A Sabre tech met us at Lippert after the rally because welding is not allowed at the Elkhart FG. Lippert actually repaired 5 or 6 broken welds and the Sabre guy bolted the floor to the out riggers at 10 additional spots. No more saggy squeaky floor. Great Lippert -Sabre team work....btw Sabre Service was actually performed by Cherokee / Cedar Creek service dept as Sabre continues its "restructuring".

Thank you, this problem looks to be a reoccurring one.

Yes your slides are out of alignment. All 3 of my living area slides did this. They were way out of alignment. My slide seals got torn up, my window seals got torn up and I would get some funky noises. This was beyond dealer repair. It took two return trips to the factory to get it fixed properly.

Throughout all of this I have only seen the floors wet once and that was after towing in a driving rain storm on back roads. Maybe I have dodged one bullet with this fiver?

Pics are from before the slides were fixed.
