Sabre 36bhq

Just purchased this Camper a 2 weeks ago...
When I picked it up they went thru the entire camper I we had noticed a Few things that had to be fixed
1. bedroom door wouldn't latch closed.
2. ceiling fan was way out of level
3. The trundle Bed in the Mid bunk didnt have a wooden frame is was just a Matress under the couch.

Nothing major.

Brought it up to the Seasonal site. found another issue with auto leveling system. as soon as 1 of the rear jacks would touch the ground it would tel the system something and give a abort code. I just the system and finally got all the jacks to work with me and now we are level ( this will be looked at in the fall when im done camping)
Now the bigger 2 issues.
1, something I overlooked is they dont have any awnings above the Slide outs. so yesterday when putting it away wet some of the slides walls and rooms had water on them when we closed them up. Im worried over time about dirt, mud and water damage from this. Can I add awning slides onto this unit ?

2. AC unit. the AC temp would jump around when Nobody was hitting any buttons on the AC panel. I asked my Neighbor to help me out to see if we could figure it out. The touch panel on Both AC units are so sensitive that when the Dog or kids walk around in camper it will turn the temp up, down, turn it from AC to heat. Anyone else have this issue ?

If you're at a seasonal site, it shouldn't be a problem. My slides go out in April and don't come in until October. Only really have to worry about cleaning the debris off once a year.

I go up there more often than that but for the most part, they stay pretty clean. Unless you are under a bunch of trees, then you may have more stuff to clean off.

How do you like your new Sabre? I’m looking at the same one.

Hello, I also own a 2017 Sabre 36BHQ and I'm currently working with the dealer on the Thermostat control panel and the issue with the slides bringing in water. I figured out that the caps that they used at the end of the slide stick up higher then then roof so that turn the roof into a pool. If you look at the 2018 models they changed the roof caps so this problem does not occur. I've owned my camper 9mths and it has been at the dealer ship 4 of those months. I have 40 warranty issues that are being looked at right now.

I have all kinds of problems with my 2017 forest river 36bhq sabre and trying to get the issues fixed has been horrible. Some of issues range from appliances not work all the way to water leaks in all the slides.

We just picked up our 2018 BHQ and we don't have any of the problems you have listed.

When we turned on the ACs there was a lot of wood shavings and insulation blowing out but I guess that is to be expected.

I am a little disappointed with the carpet in the master, it is like there is no padding under it but I guess that is a weight savings.

We are overall pleased with the build quality, though I am thinking about pulling the Sabre logos as well as the COBALT stickers off while everything is new. I can see them being the first to fade.

There's not any padding. Pull a heat register in the master bedroom and you can see the layers- you should see linoleum and then carpet.
