Better safe than sorry.

We had an issue when we took our 34reqs out a few weeks ago and had to come back home. At a rest area I had unplugged the trailer doing some testing and I forgot to plug it back in. I had to come back over Stevens pass here in Washington heading west. Its really steep on the west side, and I hate towing going down. I am usually white knuckled and ask for complete silence. With our F450 I have actually been comfortable about this pass and this trailer, and this time was no exception. It wasn't till I was unhooking the trailer, back at home, that I noticed I forgot to plug it back in. I had came down that pass with NO trailer brakes, and didn't notice a thing different. I probably would have panicked if I knew they weren't on. lol.
So our truck might be a little over kill, but I have a huge margin with it.

33ckts......F250 6.2L Gasser as well. I plan on staying away from mountainous areas. Not worried about going up hill but going down is another story.

We have a 2013 33ckts (Palomino) that weighs in at 12350. We pull with a 2012 F250 6.2L gasser w3.78 gears. No problems pulling in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Leaving for Florida in 6 or 7 weeks I'll have more to report then.
