You can see them for yourself. Type Sabre RV into facebook, then click photos, see all.

Lots of factory pics.

So weird- I'd contact them through the Forest River site and start swapping emails and maybe phone calls. Something isn't adding up.

The last I had heard, it was just the roof that went from aluminum to wood. I hadn't heard about the sides going to wood.

FWIW, that pic that ependydad posted doesn't actually show the sides. Just the front cap.

Sad to say, these photos aren't relevant any longer. But then again- 5 years is a loooong time in the RV world.

New factory video on their facebook page. Aluminum studded laminated sidewalls, wooden rear and front walls, and wooden truss roof.

I also swapped comments with a Sabre employee who confirmed the same. My apologies for the misinformation above.

Thank you for posting the link to that, Very interesting and informative.....

I was curious what material they use for the roof as mine feels a little weak when I walk on it and now I know why, He showed it's only 3/8" particle board. And only 5/8" ply on the floors, Wish they'd go a little thicker on those.....

I see he also said they went to a vacuum process when building the laminated walls rather then the roller pinch press method that I saw when I was there, Wonder if that's better?

One great improvement I don't think mine has, That nice looking layer of fiberglass insulation under the floor. I'm thinking all mine has is that thin little layer of bubble wrap/foil stuff

Looks to me that is a picture of a travel trailer. Since this forum combines TT and 5ers, make sure you are talking about the same type of trailer.

The Sabre construction is...Wood roof, main floor, front and back wall. Sidewalls and bath deck are aluminum framed. Let me know if you have any other questions. The construction changed mid year 2016 to what it is today.

My pleasure. There seem to be a lot of misconceptions about what we're doing so I'll help in any way I can. New to forums so not real sure how to keep up with new posts, but will figure it out. We use Facebook these days for communication. You can like our page here... It's a better way to stay current.

Just curious if you found the info you were looking for? We don't talk much about insulation because manufacturers have overblown this feature in the past and it can be a very slippery slope when you start talking about varying climates/locations as it pertains to all season campers. I'd be happy to honestly answer your questions if you still need help. Let me know.
