See alot of Sabre Problems

I'm a big fan of Forest River RV trailers and own a Sandpiper, always have been happy with it. But for some reason on this forum I see a lot of customers unhappy and having problems with their Sabre units. Might question why this happening and the support they get from the factory. Just an observation.

After using ours for 2 seasons we haven't had any major problems. Only two minor problems were a day/night shade had a string break and galley faucet handle set screw got stripped. Both of which were quickly replaced by our dealer. I've read about several Columbus issues/complaints but this may be due to them being fairly new.

You must remember now that the purpose for the forum is to get advice and help with your situation. It is not a representation of all Forest River products. There are many happy owners also.

Isn't that the truth. Well said.

We're one of the very happy Sabre owners...very little issues and most taken cared of by myself as typical with most new campers.
I do admit, those with posted Sabre issues seem to be the bunkhouse model owners and not the rear living designs like mine.
With that said, if I was shopping for a bunkhouse model, Sabre would be at top of the list for that price point

I don't know if they in truth have any more problems than another FR product. Maybe the owners just have higher expectations and are more vocal.

I think you may be right!. We are very pleased with our Sabre choice and would likely look there first, if we were in the market...but...

When we picked of our Sabre, the PDI at the dealer, produced a pretty long list of pretty minor defects. Most were actually found by the dealer, but several were found by my wife & I who really expected it to be perfect. Out of about 20 items, only 2 or 3 effected function. The others were just cosmetic. All were resolved by the dealer.

Maybe, we needed to manage our expectations, but we still wanted it perfect.

btw, I still see lots of posts here celebrating a 100% problem free delivery/pickups experience.

Very very pleased with our sabre and would/will buy another.
We've had some issue's but nothing detrimental.
Through the issue's sabre and our dealer have been very diligent on resolving them fast and to our satisfaction!
I have absolutely nothing bad to report from our sabre experience.

Seems to me reading other forums that sabre problems were more pronounced on older models, pre 08 iirc. Our 2012 has been major problem free. Most of my problems are owner caused. Thankfully, my owner caused problems have been more embarrasing than exspensive.
