So long Sabre

We placed a factory order yesterday for a Heartland Landmark 365 Charleston. It's time to move on from the 36QBOK bunkhouse (posted for sale on this site) which has served us well. The youngest is a few years away from being the last one to fly the coupe and we desired more residential space. It came down to the Landmark and the Riverstone/Riverston Legacy. We have long lusted after the Landmark and the Charleston, with the outside kitchen, won out. I will remain on this site as I enjoy the info and exchanges. I will miss not being a FROG.

Congrats on the new fiver. Just because you are no longer a FROG, doesn't mean you can't still come on these boards.

Good Luck with the sale!!!
Hope you love the new camper!!

We will probably put our 36 up for sale later this summer if we get our lake house done. I'm going to want a little more than you for our 36 though.
You have a good price on it, in my opinion!

Congrats on the new rig and best of luck with it, that would have been my choice in a Landmark I really like that floorplan but for us the River Stone Legacy won out plus the service we have got from Cedar Creek and Forest River kept us in one.... see Pete it does work!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I priced it below what others are listed for on RV Trader. I have 8-9 weeks until the new fiver is delivered and you know what a dealer will do to you on a trade

We were leaning toward the Riverstone Legacy and were waiting for the new model to come out with the outside kitchen. The sales rep I was working with sent us pics as these are new units and just now coming onto the market. The outside kitchen was outstanding but the entertainment center inside is the "contemporary" style, same as the front kitchen model, and it just does not fit with the rest of the traditional style of the living area and rest of the coach. Sure did like the double sink in the bath also. But once I fitted the Landmark out with the washer/dryer etc...to match the Legacy, the price was $9k less. The Legacy compares more to a DRV, IMHO, from a build standpoint.

The Bathroom is what sold my wife, me it was the construction we ended up with the 38MB. I really liked the Charleston model in the Landmark I liked the den set up. Still looking at the new floorplans in the River Stone's line and wonder what they will come up with next.

Speedcat.....if u dont mind my askin, how long did you have your 36qbok on the market and roughly what did u get out of it?
I am fixin to list our 2015 36qbok, but im not wanting to sit on it too long. Id love to get $35k out of it, but anything above $30k would probably drive away with it.

I definitely priced to sell. The dealer was only allowing $20k on the trade and I sold for $26k cash in 6 days. The dealer also helped by facilitating my cash sale. I "sold" it to the dealer for $26k and they transferred the title to my buyer and I paid taxes on the difference between the sales price and the "trade" value. When I set the price I researched to see what similar units were priced for on RV Trader and went below those asking prices. Good luck!

Dealers I've been talking to in the last month or two are talking $15-20k for trade.

Should i list my 2015 36qbok on here or do you think its a waste of time?
I listed it locally on CL for $36k (i will take considerably less) and someone in norman posted their 2014 36 a couple hours before for $40k, it might be pbalmer's.
I listed my 3500hd denali truck with 24k miles on it, yesterday and my phone is blowing up

Takes little effort to put it here. Can't hurt.

You’re on the air. Another mod approved it around 2:30.

Well guys, we delivered our Sabre to its new owners last Saturday.
Did a thorough pdi and tried to show them all the operations and mods. They said they would probably be calling me to answer more questions.

Its been fun, but im glad the camper chapter of our life is over.
We may try again in 20 years or so with a class a or super c to tow our boats if we end up going to more poker runs and we see a value in having another one.
We averaged about 50 something nights a year in our sabre over the past 4 years, so we definitely used it more than most people. But our cost was about the same as staying in cabins and hotels, untill you figure in repairs, mods, insurance and all.
Luckily we got a good price out of it, so that helped too!
Its been fun, but i probably wont get on here much anymore.
Happy trails all!
Luke

Happy Trails to you, too!
I'll buy your supper if I ever see you at Ladonna's Grill.
