2401S Trashcan

Working thru the process of provisioning new RV for first road trip. I was curious what others are doing for their inside trashcan? Make/model/location??? Appreciate inputs from owners of similar models. Thanx!

We hang a small / medium trash bag on a hook we added to the head restraint of the drivers seat. It is out of the way and easy to reach. Wet stuff and food stuffs go in to a second bag before going in to the "main" trash bag to prevent any leaks and keep odors down...

We bought a small trash can to put between the front seats when stopped but the hanging bag works better...

Small trash can from Wally World under kitchen sink. Size of which allows use of those grey Wally World plastic bags to be inserted inside with tension around the basket rim. Yes, it fills quicker, but, small RV space means less garbage smell, because garbage gets disposed of more often.

Small collapsible trash contain for the cab. Small rigid plastic trash contain
placed in cab while camping. Uses standard white 13 gal trash bags. Larger collapsible trash bag for outside during camping. Also uses 13 gal bags.

Lots of ways to skin a cat (not really skinning cats).

Under the sink. Who wants trash cans or bags out in the open, and you sure can't have trash out and about with our terrier on board!

Most trash containers have lids (like mine) and why waste storage space. If you have the space, in the cupboard is a good idea.

2401S Trashcan

On a 5 day 2200 mile trip.. Our first big one. We used 2 bag hooks (camping world) behind the seat for "on the way" trash. We also used a collapsible round trash container (with a trash bag) when at the campground it has a lid with a zipper, we bought this at camping world too, price with Good Sam Discount was comparable with Amazon. Folds and stows away easily while driving.

This is not going to help you much since we don't have a similar model. Being a FR product I am surprised it does not already have a trash can under the sink. Our Flagstaff did. Our 3011 has an opening w/lid on the counter top for depositing the trash and the can is removed from the outside of the coach. No chance of dumping trash on the floor!!

Not to gloat or anything, but my 2016 Rockwood Windjammer 3029W came with a full-size kitchen trash can and a space under the kitchen sink for it to fit into.

Can't help with the inside can, as we don't have one. But for the outside can I can highly recommend this one that we use:

http://www.simplehuman.com/50-litre-...-black-plastic

It's locking feature is great for keeping both the dogs and any critters like raccoons out at night. And having the garbage outside let's us minimize the amount of garbage inside.

Like Still Kickin we use small garbage can from WalMart under the sink. Great way to recycle the WalMart/grocery store plastic bags. We walk the garbage to the dumpster every night as we walk the dog.

Yeah, go ahead and gloat! Some of the larger models have that nice feature that makes good use of a hard-to-reach corner underneath the counter. Almost bought one but it was too large for our needs.

Our dog would have a non-padlocked can open in a snap. And hanging bags on hooks would be treated in a festive manner somewhat like piñatas!
