A/C

In my 2016 24R we used the roof air for the first time. It drove us crazy cycling through and set at 73. Has anyone had this issue?

I don't have an RV like yours, but we have experienced something similar. If we set our thermostat to 72 or 73, the unit cycles quite often. If we bump it up to 74 or down to 71 the cycles are greatly reduced without any ill effects to the ability to keep the TT cool. I think these thermostats have some quirks.

Similar issue on my 2014 24R. Like others mentioned, bump it up or down a degree or two usually solves the problem.

After another sleepless noisy night I have attempted to contact FR. I tried all settings to no avail blues it would be nice to have the owners manual.

Is the AC fan cycling on and off what is the problem? If so, try setting the fan at the thermostat to "Hi" or "Lo" instead of "Au" (auto). Select fan then use "+" or "-" to choose hi or Lo, then select AC. On hi or Lo the fan runs continuously and just the compressor switches on and off with temperature.
There is also a way (with our Dometic 13.5K AC) to change the temp swing allowed between cycles, but I don't remember the details. In the manual somewhere.

I don't know what thermostat you have but if it is an inexpensive analog stat, swapping it for a digital will help. Many analog stats cycle both the A/C and the furnace way more than necessary because of their swing.

Change this type...

For this type...

"To set the temperature differential the system must be Off. Press the ― button and, while holding it, also press and hold the On/Off Mode button for three seconds. Release the On/Off Mode button. Then release the ― button. Press the + button to toggle between d1 and d2, d1 for 1 degree F differential and d2 for 2 de- grees F differential."

Also....be sure a supply register is not blowing towards the thermostat. The cool air will cycle the stat too fast.
