I see the good folks on the FR assembly line cleaned up after themselves about as well on yours as mine.

I assume you have checked power on both sides of the switch. Since it's a DC circuit, the ground is frequently the culprit of an inoperative component - so maybe you should check continuity of the ground wire at the LED lights to a known good ground. If that's good - check the continuity of the wire from the switch (unpowered of course) to the positive lead on the LED lights. This would confirm your diagnosis of either a broken wire or a blown fuse.
