check the battery voltage while plugged in. I suspect you need a new converter and batteries.

So now I am being told it is a shorted cell in the battery and the original ones have no markings. Anyone know what batteries fit a 2016 24R?

Shorted cell may have been the result of low water which then caused boil over. If there was build up on the plates over winter, moving it could have caused it to fall off an build up between plates. Battery is toast.

Just got off the phone with Forest River and they recommend an NC 27 battery for coach batteries. Apparently they are not sealed and are serviceable. I see where several have used the sealed ones with no problems.

I really like my group 31 AGM batteries. They are a tight install but will fit... 105 amp hrs each give me lots of reserve. I have solar, and over the 2 months we travelled through the southern US, I only ran the generator to jumpstart my MC chassis, as I had a loose coach to chassis battery connection that was arcing and causing low voltage messages to the ECU. So it decided it would start. But after firing up the gennie, the voltage overpowered the ECU (I guess) and it started. After tightening the lead at the chassis battery, and clearing the codes, everything ran like a clock.

Always check the website before buying batts.

You want only batts for the house that are deep cycle and rated at the "20 hour rate" the industry std.

If everything looks the same weight , its lead that does the work , would be key, the heavier the better.
