Cleaning Solvent

I know I have seen this issue before but for the life of me can’t find now. Am looking for the name of the solvent to clean black road grime from trim. Help.

I use Acryli-clean road tar remover available at your local auto body paint supply store. It also works pretty well to remove tree sap.

Thanks so much. I had heard acetone would work as well but seems a little harsh.

Acetone can be a great paint remover. I'd test it first in an inconspicuous place first.
