Exclamation Coach Batteries MBS 2401R

Has anyone tried to replace the coach battery in the left side under the driver's seat. Battery ran down and I want to take it out and charge it before I can see if it needs to be replaced. Did not discount the long term storage connector near the gas pedal before it drained the battery. Is this a simple process, there are quite a few connections to the battery.

Can't help you with the battery removal, but would like to clear up a common misconception about the battery ground disconnect located near the accelerator pedal on the Sprinter -

Disconnecting this quick disconnect will NOT disconnect the chassis battery from the chassis. There is an alternate path to ground provided by the coach wiring added by FR.

There is an easy way to prove this - go ahead and disconnect the quick disconnect. Open the door and watch the instrument panel come alive. The chassis is still powered through the chassis battery.

The only way to positively disconnect the chassis battery is to access it directly and disconnect the ground wires connected to the battery terminal.

Good to know. Thanks! I don't use it anyway and the battery stays charged for a month with no issue.

There are connections under the hood for jumping/charging the chassis battery.
