Thanks for that info. Just need a reliable tow company that will go that step on drive shaft removal, but better in the long run for sure.

Best is to inform the tow company, Before they send the wrecker.

They know which drivers are knowledgible enough to do a proper job.

Yeah. Mine was towed on a cold January night. They dropped the drives haft and away she went. It wouldn't start and the diagnosis was a ignition lock due to DEF inadequacy. But it wasn't inadequate, and had been refilled a thousand kilometres earlier. They cleared the codes, and she started right up. But I've also had the NOX sensors replaced twice! Thankfully they didn't require a tow.

Now people, lets all go in the yard and hug a tree. Then cut it down, sell the firewood to pay for the repairs!

Interesting synopsis. Did that a couple days ago, minus the hug part. Chipped everything under 3" and sold the rest to the local campground so they could in turn sell it to campers...

The campground owners philosophy is... Campers, for the most part don't know the difference between popple and oak and they want wood and have money to 'burn'.

He takes anything and pays the same (to me). I've sold him willow in the past. It all goes up in smoke anyway.

I have 4 RV parks nearby so always a market for firewood.

Are there different types or qualities of DEF? See the answer here - currently the second Q&A on the page:
