I dunno...but it's probably a bad idea to run it down to zero. Note that when the fuel gauge drops to 0 you've still got 5 or 6 gallons of reserve. All in all, you can probably get something like 300 miles before going to true empty...should be enough for the longest fuelless stretches, even if you're driving to Alaska. But it's a good idea to be aware of your fuel status and of where the next station might be. I use the gas buddy app to look for diesel and I think some navigation systems can find it for you.
I once had a Holiday Rambler with a 128 gallon tank. Gave me a range somewhat over 1000 miles - I'd just pick the states with the lowest prices!
