Dometic Heat Pump Thermostat E1 code

Heat pump will not start. My Sunseeker is a 2018 with a #3316410 thermostat with an almost invisible code E1 flashing. I’ve can’t find information on a fix. It’s 83 deg. and need some AC.

E1 is lost communication between the t-stat and heat pump. Basically means bad connection between the two.

You can try initializing the thermostat. The procedure is in the manual, and there's a copy of the manual in the library if you don't have one.

If that doesn't work, I'd get in touch with your dealer.

Thanks for all your comments about my dead thermostat. Initializing didn’t fix. I finally called Coach Net and they set me up with quick service at an approved forest river RV Sales & Service dealerships. They had me in and out in two hours. They found one of the three wires connecting the thermostat in to the heat pump was broken inside the six wire cable. They used one of the unused wires and all was good.
