Electric outlet near bed in 2401R?

We're planning to buy the 2401R this spring and are now getting down to the small details. We really wish there was an outlet for charging phone, etc. right next to the bed. Any solutions other than to plug into USB outlet on the wall under the TV? Thanks!

My 2015 Solera 24R has 110 outlets on both sides of the foot of the bed. In addition, I tapped into a 12v line under the driver's side of the bed to install a motorcycle USB charger outlet that I found online.

Thanks! We'll have to look a little more closely next time we stop in to see it at a local dealer. Just looked at the new Jayco Melbourne which has a convenient outlet right alongside the passenger side of the rear bed.

Skialberts, my 2014 24S has outlets at both the head and foot of the bed. I put a little elastic pocket on the wall at the foot of the bed to hold the phone and tablet when they're charging overnight (search Amazon for a 'map pocket').

Our 2016 Sunseeker 2400R has 12v USB connections on both sides of the bed near the foot of the bed, and a regular 110v plug under the bed on the driver's side. Might even have one on the passenger's side but ours in in storage so I can't check.

The plugs are brown on both sides and are hard to see. Bring a flashlight and it will be easier.

This is a 4 port charging stating added to our 15 Solera 24s. Each port is modular so you can add multiple USB or 12 adapters. Mine has an on/off switch, a DC voltmeter, a dual USB chargers and a 12 volt outlet. The components are available on EBay in multiple configurations. Inexpensively added to wherever you might need.

We provide 4 110 outlets in the bedroom and 4 USB outlets, 2 on either side of the bed.

I take it that this USB config is on 2016+ units?

My 2015 has (4) USB ports above the dinette but none in the bedroom.

Our "W" has the USB ports on the bed as well. I added a couple small cargo nets off eBay to hold cellphones. One note on the "W" bed AC outlets, it is a close fit when the slide is retracted. So be very careful when leaving items plugged in....

The Silverback 29RE has 120 vac outlets on both sides of the master bed. Next to the kitchen outlets, they are the most used.

Yup, our 2016 2401R has both plug socket and USB ports in the bedroom. Definitely one side if not both (also in storage here).

I use the passenger side and can plug my iPhone in there and have it sit on the little bedside "table" where it can be seen and reached from the bed during the night.

If you are down to this, you must be about ready to buy. Good luck!

MNTravler, Did you receive an owners manual for your 2016 that covers the MBS house. I have the MBZ Chassis manual but only a vague and general description of the interior workings. This is a copy of a gas class c that has a lot of other systems Tha I do not have.

First, I checked yesterday and there is an outlet as well as USB ports on both sides of the foot of the bed in the 2401R.

Second, you should have receive a Forest River RV owner's manual. You can replicate that with the free FR app available in the Apple App Store (I don't know about other smart phone operating systems):

You should also have received a manual for each major appliance including stereo, stove, microwave, A/C, etc. Some we had to look up online. For this it will be helpful to have, and you will need to have, the sheet with the model numbers and serial numbers for every appliance and system in the coach. If you bought new and didn't get this, you should ask your dealer for it or if they fail you call FR and they can get you a copy.

We have all of our material in a very large 3-ring binder (4" size) so that shows you how much reference material you should have to read and keep with you while in the road.
