Factory Tour Forest River

Who did a factory tour and saw a Sunseeker - Solera - Forester getting built and hopefully took some pictures? I am sure I am not the only one who would like to get some insight how our motor homes are getting done. I hope somebody who visited Elkhart is willing to share his experience and pictures...

Is it really true that a class c motor home is built in 2 days???

Occasionally someone will come through while their unit is online and we'll let them get a picture with it; aside from that we don't allow pictures in the factory.

The unit is essentially built before it even pulls in the factory- the frames are built a week ahead of the unit going online; the walls, roof, and floor a business week ahead, the cabinetry and interior framing a week ahead. When that unit pulls up in front of a group it's ready to be put together.

If you would like to see the inside of our factory you're more than welcome to drop by! Send me a PM and we'll get something set up.

My wife and I ordered our Forester back in March and Joshua gave us a tour in April. We saw it just before it was painted. We took pictures inside and outside of it. The tour was awesome and afterwards we visited the RV museum.

I would say it is assembled in a a 2-3 day time frame. But they have all the various sub-assemblies ready to go, so when the chassis comes a rollin' in the good times begin!

There are some videos on Youtube and I think How It's Made on the Discovery channel has done some RV's. I know there is some company that builds C's that has a whole series of videos on youtube. It may not be FR but the process will be similar.

Joshua,
DW and I will be in the area from Portland, OR sometime in mid-late July of 2017 and we would like a tour of the "Solera MBS" assembly line. We will be in touch.
