Forester 2401 WS Bed

Our full wall slide out leaves the two bed sections on top of one another when the wall is extended. I noticed there were two snaps on the top mattress half that appeared to have been placed such that they would snap to buckles on the slider wall so the mattress would extend and drop into place as the wall was extended but there were no corresponding buckles on the slider wall.

When I took my rig in for service I pointed this out but the dealer seems to think that simply anchoring buckles to the wall won't work. They think there's a design flaw.

Does anyone else with the split queen mattress have a similar issue? To my mind it should be a simple matter of attaching buckles to the slide out wall and attaching the existing snaps to them.

We have a 2401 Sunseeker WS with the same snaps and no corresponding anything. It used to bother me but some one here on the forum made a comment about pulling the mattress in before driving in the slide and I thought it was a good idea.

If the mattress was attached to the wall, the slide would have to pull it out and push it in.

God forbid there is any extra stress on the slide. We haven't had any trouble with the slide......so far....

We have the same split mattress on our 2400R. We have a foam mattress pad on top of the original mattress and find its best to pull the mattress up by hand and not ask the slide to do the work. Goes back in place the same way. We keep the mattress pad and sheet attached.

X2 on this. Same setup we have on our 2400R. Wife just folds the Tempurpedic mattress in half and then the stock mattresses get a little assist from here when closing the slide. No issues here.
