Forester 2401WS sewer hose storage hack

In my previous rig, a 24R, there was plenty of room to stow the sewer hose at the sewer outlet. However, in my new rig, there's not a good place. The area that is intended for sewer hose use will not accommodate the fittings.

I used my multi-tool 2 trim the tube out of the hose compartment on the side of the RV, and installed a bucket behind that door to create more storage.

I won't go into all the details, since I think the pictures will give you an idea of what to do if you decide to convert yours to more storage space.

Wow, that's great, very inventive. Good use of otherwise wasted space.
My husband installed a 5" PVC fence post to the left of the ladder to put the sewer hose up into. He attached the fence post to the ladder using plumbers tape and tiny screws. Sounds kinda awful but the swoops distract enough you don't even notice it overall.

I also used a PVC fence post, but I attached it across the back bumper. The bumper and post are white, so it's not at all noticeable. I used a PVC rain gutter section, inside the fence post, so I can easily slide the hose out. At 7 or 8 feet long the post can hold a lot of sewer hose.
