Forester MBS 2401R Transfer Switch Location

I purchased a 2017 Forester MBS 2401R two weeks ago. The 120 V AC works on shore power but won't work on the generator. I tried switching the switch on the generator near the dip stick but generator power still doesn't work. The Forest River rep thinks it may be a bad transfer switch and said that it should be located under the bed. Everything under the bed is wrapped in carpet and sealed. I also looked in the storage area but can't find the transfer switch. Does anyone know where the transfer switch is located or have any other recommendations? Thanks.

Charlie

The rep was thinking of the S model. Your transfer switch if under the large closet. Removed the panel facing the hall under the closet. It has 6 screws to remove. Your transfer switch is the square box mounted on the right side wall. Careful of the electricity .

Mine is a 2015 MBS, same model - so location may be different. The transfer switch on mine is located on the aft side of the wall near the water heater. If I recall correctly, I removed the drawer(s) and the access panel directly below. I have some pictures from my surge protector install located in this post here Where to install surge protector 2014 solera

The transfer switch is the galvanized box directly below the EMS I installed. Hope this helps.

There is a circuit breaker on the generator. The first time mine popped I had a hard time finding it. If the breaker trips you will have no power inside.

Transfer Switch MBS

Mine is an LE2150, not a 2401R but That circuit breaker on mine(Onan 3600W LP) was also hard to find, don't know if it is the same, but it was a little tiny black breaker around the corner from the switch to the right, I needed a light to see it.
