Front end alignment specs

Does anyone have the front end alignment specs for the Sprinter chassis. This is for the 2016 Coachmen Prism 24G but I imagine it's the same for all the Sprinters.

If someone has had their aligned, posting a pic of the alignment results would be great!

I would suggest you go to a truck alignment shop for a 4 wheel alignment.

Just doing the front may not cure much , the total chassis needs to be correct.

This will cost more than a car shop front alignment but should be worth the effort.

It scares the heck out of me you would contemplate an alignment with a shop that does not already have the M-B settings.

I jsut want to verify they have the correct settings. They do make sure that the front and back are in alignment. I'm just a tad anal about these things.

I have not been able to find a truck place that can mount the targets on the rear wheels. They are recessed to much.

The shop did a test fit yesterday and says they will fit.

Just took my Isata 3 in for service on Monday. The Mercedes dealership had a whole seperate garage and staff just for Sprinters. They are on top of this. Several Class C coaches and delivery type vehicles in the shop. Not cheap.

I had a warranty issue involving 4 wheel alignment on my Isata 3 and McCoy RV/Freightliner in Portland, OR took care of it no problem.

McCoy RV/Freightliner in Portland, OR quoted about $500 for the first service on a new chassis.

I didn't bother to ask the nearest MBZ dealership for two reasons:
They are 50 miles further away, and I don't think I could withstand the shock when they quoted a price!

I took my 2015 Sprinter 3500 to the local Mercedes dealer in Boise, Idaho for a computer upgrade and front-end alignment. They replaced the computer (warranty) and farmed out the alignment to Commercial Tire. Cost me $125.00 to Commercial Tire. Not all shops do the Class-C so you might need to call around.

Local MB dealer did mine. About 300 because the have to replace some parts to make them adjustable. Only ones around that can do it. They have to raise the coach so the alignment equipment can line up for a four wheel alignment. Local truck fleet services could not do it. MH is in storage or I would get

Just talked to my local MB dealer and they can do four wheel align. Price $210.00 plus tax.

I emailed the factory and here is what they sent. As the camber was adjusted I am betting that the camber adjust kit is already installed.

I see it is now within the specs listed, but I'm wondering if MBS specs are for an unloaded vehicle. Our motorhomes are far from unloaded. That's a lot of positive camber and a lot of toe in. I would keep a close eye on outside tire edge wear.

Looking at the date, this was for the MH after everything was installed. I'd guess that is why the before specs are so far off. I am seeing a little outside tire wear - that's why I want to get it checked.

Sorry, I didn't notice the date. Yea, I would expect some outside wear if it has been set where the 'current settings' says since February of 2016. I don't know how many miles that represents. If it was me, I would request they set the camber to it's minimum of 1 degree, and the toe to it's minimum of .20. Even that seems a little high, but the shop is probably required to put it within the listed specs. I say all of this with the caveat that I have never aligned a Sprinter 3500. I did do this for a living a couple of life times ago and even taught the subject in the local Community College. So at this point, it's just a gut feel. I think I remember reading on the Dynamax subform that Dynamax checks the alignment on all of their stuff before it leaves the factory. It would be nice to know what they set the Isata 3's at.

Shop checked the alignment and eveything was in spec. Cost $89.99.
