Good Sam, Passport America, Escapees, are all good!
Check out Elks Lodge and Moose Lodges...they also have RV spaces.
Casinos and Fairgrounds, too!
RV Park Reviews...check for recommended parks in your area.
Spent a few weeks at Longstreet Casino in Amargosa Valley, NV...30 minutes to Death Valley and an hour to Las Vegas about $120 a week (GS rate)...50A and full hook ups.

Hey the America the Beauty deal is so good you could hire an old person to ride around with you and still come out ahead...as long as they pay for their own food.

Thousand Trails works for us with an Elite membership. Unlimited stays - 3 weeks max at a campground - 81 campgrounds to choose from, almost entirely on the East Coast and the West Coast.

You may be ok on the $10 National Parks senior pass if you turn 62 in November. I was just looking at the website yesterday as my sister and I have 10 years to go and will definitely be paying more than $10 at that time! Run out and grab your pass as soon as you turn 62!!

We camp in State or Federal campgrounds. A Senior Pass gets us 2 for 1. You pay for the first night to reserve it and pay the balance upon arrival. When we present the senior Pass we only pay one more night when we are staying for 4.

Most do not have full hookups but we just dump on our way out and watch our water consumption.

What states' campgrounds accept the Federal Senior Pass, for a 2 for 1 deal?
None of the Western states do.

50 dollars a night? Thats craxy. Oregon state parks generally run 22 to 26 dollars a night.
But to answer your question, we camp host so we camp basicslly for free. Plus we get to write off out travel miles on our taxes. So its a win,win for us.

We plan our trips 6-9 months in advance depending on the state we want to visit. We almost always stay in state parks. In my opinion, they are the best value. The sites are spread out so you aren't right on top of your neighbor. I use ReserveAmerica.com to make the reservations. They require the full payment for each stay. This way, we are paying in the fall for the next year's summer vacation.

Was just at Barnes and Noble because the kids wanted to get some books. I was perusing the travel section and saw a book called "Free and Low-Cost Campgrounds". All of them were under $12.

It might also be the book under it drew my attention first.

It is also available to disabled veterans. I am 100% DAV and often with state grants I stay free on Corp NPS etc grounds. Also if a DAV many states offer 2-6 weeks a year free. Oregon being my favorite.

That's a sweet deal. If you don't mind me asking, how many hours are you required to work and what kind of work?

Even if you do have to pay the upcoming $80, it will be worth it many times over!!! Like DaGrinh said, it pays for itself almost always on the first trip. After that, it keeps paying every time you find a Corp of Engineers campground. I have yet to find one that is not worth staying at even though some are worth repeat trips because they are always up-to-date & clean.

We do a great deal of state parks in Florida and Georgia. Being over 65, I get 1/2 price at FSP and 20% off at Georgia SP. That translates to about $16 a night in Georgia and $10-12 in Florida. At that savings, we splurged on private campgrounds in Western NC and Charleston SC area about $40 a night. How cost differ by region, our little $100k, 1800 sq' home in Florida would be worth $500k in California.
