How long did your chassis battery last?

My Solera is built on a 2014 chassis with the original battery. That puts it at 4 + years old. It still starts easily but here in Florida auto batteries often fail by year 3-4 due to the heat. I have an emergency start switch installed to ease some of my concern . How many years have others been getting out of the original chassis battery? What did you select as a replacement if needed? Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about your coach starting battery any different than your car battery. When it comes to starting batteries, I've never over the years seen much of a difference between the "expensive" branded batteries and the " Wally World/ Sam's" batteries. Many are made but the same people, i.e. Johnson Controls. There is a difference when it comes to deep cycle batteries. Their build quality/design has IMHO a lot to do with their life force simply because of the way they are used.

What you can do to ease your minds: go to Harbor Freight and get a cheap battery load tester and periodically test it. When you see it starting to have difficulty proactively replace it.
