How to check air bag pressure?

We just bought a 2017 Sunseeker 2400R and we're quite pleased so far. The bundle of literature provided included information about the air bags installed in the rear. It states that the air pressure decreases over time and needs checked occasionally. I can't figure out how or where to check the pressure. Any suggestions?

Hmm. I'm not aware of MBS units being shipped with air bag suspension components. But maybe they've made a change?

When I got my Solera, Forest River provided a very general collection of RV information - nothing specific to my particular model. Is it possible that you've got a similar, non-specific, bundle, which might include information not actually related to your model?

First crawl under there and see if there are air springs back there... then if yes, trace the air line(s)... to where they go. You could call the dealer, but that would probably an exercise in frustration.

I found no air bags on my 2400R. The literature shouldn't have been included. Thanks for your help!

Our 2014 Sun Seeker has the air ride system. The filler caps are located in the storage compartments second from the last one on each side of the unit , We can see them on the back side of the wall in the compartment. They were originally plastic valve covers and I changed them out to metal ones because the plastic ones do not have a good rubber seal in them. Yes they do loose air and it is part of our prep for a trip to check them. Most times we run 60 pounds of air in them but have also run about 45 at times, because I forget to check them. Our biggest problem is to find a tire gage that is accurate. From talking to our service people they say a good accurate gage runs around $80.00, so I just rely on my good old Princess Auto one and it seems to do the trick./

That is where our air valves are on our 2013 2500TS,,, Storage Compartments !!!
From what I have seen it would be impossible to trace air line,,, I tried because ours loose way to much air !!! Ours need air every time we move it !!! They probably loose air just sitting !!! I think we probably drove ours home from the dealer,,, on several miles of BAD Interstate with no air in them ??? did not know @ the time,,, but could have very well have damaged them ??? This is something every MH buyer should check before they are ever driven !!! Maybe already be to late,,, because they were driven to the dealer,,, and maybe with out any air pressure in them ???????????

I topped ours up to 60 pounds about 3 weeks ago. Have been on two trips since then and checked them last night and they registered at 50 pounds. I find this is normal for them but always check them as part of the walk around when going on a trip.
I am not sure if no air in them would have damaged them , would have to ask a mechanic, probably two of them or go on the web site for the air ride and ask the question about no air and any damage.

I believe I read some where that running them empty can seriously damage the bags,,, that make perfect sense to me !!!

X2 on the damage. Manual for our 2014 3051 that has them says not to run empty. Have a battery powered air compressor ( ryobi ) that will go up to 150 lbs and is automatic. Use it for tires and air ride etc plus the batteries fit all the other items we carry like blower drill work light etc.

From checking the built in gauge it is pretty accurate so I use that for verification of pressures and set / fill if needed.

And the compressor was only about $40 at Home Depot

They do not ride or handle well then PSI is low !!!

Please note that this section is dedicated to Mercedes Benz Sprinter based motorhomes, which do not come with air bags. Posting your experiences with Ford based units is confusing, especially for newbies (like me!)

Right- he got some version of the generic FR literature, which referenced air bags, which his MBS does not have...
