Is this right?

I have a new 2016 2400W, when I turn off the Battery disconnect switch the door step continues to operate. The door step switch on/off works but I would think the battery disconnect would turn off every thing,

Is it safe to assume there is no such thing as a system schematic available?

You will find that other items are also still operating. On my 5th wheel, the front jacks and the carbon monoxide alarm still stay on. Best thing is to check what still works with switch off.
I ended up putting a switch directly on batteries to make sure everything is off, much better that way for storage in between trips.

On my class A the steps were connected to the starting battery and did the same for the reason Kenny K said

Battery disconnect does not turn of everything, you will find your Bigfoot stabilizers still work as well. These are some of the " parasitic losses". Either run generator monthly, take for a drive monthly or install direct battery terminal disconnect.

Thanks for the replies

Guess I'll do some rewiring. Doesn't make sense to have everything normally off be off and everything normally on be on no matter what the battery disconnect position is. I also need to check which battery the stairs are connected to, It would be a *&^%&^$%^(& to find the cab battery dead because we went in and out a bunch.

I'd advise you to not disconnect the co alarm.

I would leave the steps as the manufacturer hooked them up . Be one helluva fall if ya get up sleepy and step out . They draw no current , what can it hurt .

I appreciate everyone's concern

The only time the battery switch would be off is when the 2400W is in storage or I need to shut the 12v system down for some kind of maintenance, repair, or installing a mod. I would rather have to reset the CO2 alarm after power up than be worried I damaged it when I shorted something.
