Jack alarm?

I own a 2017 24 feet MBS Sprinter Sunseeker. I am wondering if there is an alarm that warns about retracting leveling jacks before shifting into gear...Merci!

I think you have the same setup as I have, two Bigfoot stabilizers in the rear. No, there is no alarm or indicator when the jacks are extended.

I rarely use the jacks unless it is very windy. When I do use the jacks, I stick a post-it on the steering wheel to remind me. Even then, I visually check the jacks to make sure they are fully retracted before driving off.

Even if the system was fully alarmed, I would probably still do a visual check because of my quirky personality concerning safety matters.

I use a spring cloths pin clipped to the gear shift cover to remind me. Have them labeled with name of item that needs to be retracted, removed, or disconnected. Very effective. Or sometimes I just listen for the scrapping noise .

There are now plastic hooks that can be stuck to a surface , and later removed with no harm.

Hang the ignition keys on a hook next to the jack controls.

After forgetting to raise the jacks twice (although no damage) we use a printed departure checklist by the door that reminds us.

I have a 2017 also - no alarms - just the obnoxious scraping sound when you feel stupid after forgetting to raise the jacks. Like others - now a checklist item.

We have a 2018 and we have a alarm, it is a beep, beep, beep, will not stop till you rise them. We have the 2400WS. The alarm won’t let you go anywhere till it’s off.

IMO, just one more sensor to fail and strand one. What ever happened to a walk-around before leaving?

Stabilizer Alarm

We have rear stabilizers on our .Forester 2401 WS. The switch label suggested there was an alarm but none went off when I accidentally moved off them. We were on soft gravel so no damage but a paved surface would likely have wrecked them.

Dealer found the alarm had not been connected during manufacture. It works well now.

That’s interesting as I am not aware of any alarm on our 2016 Sunseeker 2400R. Any idea where they found the alarm or how they connected it?

I have a 2017 Sunseeker 2400W and if I turn the ignition one with the stabilizers down I get a very irritating whistle sound .

Ours is new and we we’re leaving , I had turned it on for the air conditioning to start, we couldn’t figure at why the sound! My husband finally call the RV place we bought it from and the told us. We will know next time.

I feel if you had stabilizers on your unit you should have a alarm, google to see Or YouTube it. It just may not be contacted.
