Lippert ONEcontrol lcd unit

Have someone outfit this unit to replace old mechanical control in their motorhome? Where did you buy it from? Does it have understandable step by step installation instructions? Just wondering may be possible.

Thanks

I don't think this can be retrofitted to an older RV. Well, not without completely rewiring the RV. Here's a quote from the Lippert web site:
Quote:
Hard wired CAN connection to RV controllers
I think this implies that all of the elements to be monitored and controlled are also connected to an RV CAN bus. Here's a link to a Wikipedia entry about CAN bus:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN_bus
I'm not sure how this all works - whether the RV CAN bus is connected to the chassis ODB system, etc. - but I'm pretty sure everything being monitored and controlled has to have a digital interface to the bus.
