Solera 2015 with two 2 stage LP regulators. Bottom one is leaking. It feeds the generator.

I have replacement (Camco 59323), but unsure how to remove. I took off outlet hose, no issue. Was thinking I could spin entire assembly to remove regulator from pipe fitting connecting to tee, but can't spin fully because regulator hits tank.

So can I disconnect the entire tee feeding both regulators by spinning counter clockwise the brass fitting between the tank shutoff valve and the tee? My gut is yes, but unsure.

Thanks! Once I figured out to loosen clockwise, not counter clockwise assembly came off easy.

Follow-up on Regulator replacement

When I connected the Camco 59323 regulator's inlet side to the pipe thread from the tee, it felt like I needed another turn to fully tighten and still end up with the vent down. The regulator engages the tee before fully tight and vent not yet down. I had to back it up 1/2 turn to align vent. It passes a leak test with soap/water solution, but with moderate force I can turn assemble with hand.

Has anyone else observed the same? Anyone know how I can locate the original part?

bclemens you mentioned in the below post that newer systems use one regulator, can upgrade my 2015 24R with a single regulator? How would I get the necessary parts to convert?

Thanks

I donít like things loose, especially when it comes to flammable gas. I would rather overtighten something, risking breaking it or stripping it, so it stayed in place. But that is just how I do things right or wrong. The thing about do-it-yourself projects, they can always be redone by yourself. I usually get things right by the third time when required.

Yes Propane connections are reversed for a reason.

If you used Teflon gas tape on the threads, just put a couple of extra turns of tape to tighten the fitting to the position you desire.

Left Hand Thread Indicator

For those that are unaware, the v-band machined into the wrench hex on the propane valve female fitting indicates that it is a left hand thread, so turn it to the "right" to loosen it.
