Believe the GPS function was incorporated via an SD card - on mine, the card was in a "dongle" that hung out the back of the unit. From some posts here on the forum, I understand later models moved this to a slot on the front of the unit. Tried ejecting and re-inserting the card?
Also, I believe they sold a non-GPS model without the SD card.
Magnadyne support was quite good a few years ago - worth trying a call.

Yeah. Pulled card and reinserted with the igo executable etc on it. Get an error on the igo.exe now when it tries to load.

Called magnadyne and they said have to buy new card from them - no option to download etc.

Yeah ours is 2011 software etc.

Found some notes and renamed the save folder, got a little further on boot but no go still.

Ours does have the dongle on the back and now I know what the two wire hoops are for the previous owners left with all the manuals - slide in on both sides, push both to outside unit and pull. Slides out - the hoops trip the latches so you can pull it out.

Got extended warranty, they should get us a new disk, we will see I guess.

Probably not a bad idea to get new and have the new maps as well.

Yep still a hassle but now we know what they are for. Messed with that all night and still no go. See what Good Sam warranty says - should get new card since it doesn't work.

I had the Solera with the Magndyne for 3 years -OK radio but I was not fond of it. Now I have the Forester with the Jensen radio - much better but still hard to operate, complicated menus and still a unresponsive touchscreen.
Just recently gave it a try and put in a Chinese 2 din Android 7.1 radio preloaded with Igo - what a difference! I fell in love with that radio from day one: ease of operation, a touchscreen which really works, better reception than ever before and so many more option. It is a laptop in your dashboard...189$ well invested!
For whoever is interested here is the link, it is sold by many other stores too. Just search for android 7.1 2Din stereo and compare the picture from amazon!
