Manual operation of slide on a MBS "W"

Forgive me if this has been posted already but I'm having a hard time finding a thread specific to the "W" on this.

On my last trip out there was a poor soul next to us that had his slide stuck in the out position and he couldn't figure out how to pull it in manually. His resolution was to wait for a technician to come out to his site and that was in two days!

In an effort to be prepared in case this ever happens to me, does anyone know the steps to take and where to find the manual crank? I'm assuming I'll need a special tool or something which I'll want to keep on hand so I don't get stuck myself for a couple days.

If you unit is like the one in the video and slide at time frame 4:20, then you have s Scwhintek slide....see video for manual operation

They told us at our PDI to pull off the molding! around the slide and pull apart some wires and then reput them together and go to nearest FR dealer ASAP and have it all fixed. There is no manual crank. I was completely astonished and my husband was all oh yeah I get it it. It's kinda horrible all this RV stuff. I need to get a clearer picture of this for my own wellbeing.

Ok, I agree with you, just printed all this and then we are having a "fire drill". Prevent as many of "the horrors" moments as possible.
