MBS 2401S has "Above Floor Slide" instead of Schwintek?

The Forester MBS 2401W and 2401R both have Schwintek Slides. Why does the MBS 2401S have the Above Floor Slide?

The S slide is bigger, heavier, and is engineered differently. That's why it gets the above floor slide.

Thanks for the reply Joshua. Isn't the W floorplan 33% longer than the S? Also, the S only has the dinette and wardrobe in the slide while the W has same with addition of queen bed in the full length slide. I am sure I saw schwintek slides in the W.

You're correct there are Schwintek slides on the W. We would do the Schwintek slides on the S but the way the slide is designed there isn't enough room on the sides for the Schwintek slides.

I have a Prism LE2150 with Schwintek 2 motor slide and a floorplan very similar to an S and it is above the floor with the dinette and wardrobe in the slide. What is the difference between the S and the Prism?

Coachmen and Forest River Class C motorhomes are two different divisions with two different engineering process'. The way our slide is designed we have to use the above floor slide.
