Today as on my routine to run generator for an hour or so in a month and I've noticed microwave light isn't on. It was working just fine last time. Turned off generator and connect shore power to MB, then microwave came on. Do you have any ideas what causes this? Circuit breaker is normal because it works on shore power?
Thanks

Were you able to run the air conditioner? Best to be running the generator under load. If no AC then the generator is not giving 110 to the coach. May need to hit the reset button on the generator, could have a problem in the transfer switch or a loose wire between generator and transfer switch. Good luck, keep us updated
Hi Rich,
Heat furnace was working fine, but I will try to reset the breaker and check fuses. Yes it automatic transfer switch. I'm also forgetting to mention about it takes 5 or 6 restart before it was smoothly. It keeps turning itself off. That may be the cause for breaker to pop as Mike said. Thanks for your replies, I'm going to open up that generator to see where that breaker is.
Thanks again

Heat furnace runs on 12 volt so not helpful to tell if getting 110 from the generator. The only 110 items in our coaches are the AC unit and the microwave. Alternatively you could plug something into the 110 wall outlet when generator running to check. Does sound like the internal generator breaker but the hard starting on the generator is a concern. do you have a propane generator or diesel? If propane, may have trouble just from cold weather limiting gas pressure or gas regulator performance but I can't speak from experience down here in Florida.
I've caught a culprit who responsible for my little problem in the mirror. As I was wiping off excess oil from newly changed generator oil, accidentally bumped breaker to off position. It shows how little I know about MH. Thanks for all your wonderful ideas on how to fix problem even I'm the one who cause it.
Thanks

You're not done, if you're still having 5-6 starts before the gennie runs smoothly. Check your propane supply, but also the air filter to the motor of the gennie. There have been cases of backed up or very dirty air filter causing difficult starting, or fail to run.
