Missing MB Hood Badge

My new 2016 MB Forester 2401W did not come with the traditional MB hood badge that is found on earlier Sprinter models. Also noticed the badge missing on other new MBS Foresters as well.
So what's up with that?

Go to a MB dealer if you're going to get a badge. There is a special glue, if the badge doesn't come pre-glued. Otherwise, you will have delamination issues.

It should have a flat MB emblem.

No hood emblem at all. Not a big deal but made me wonder if MB is now shipping Sprinter chassis' without their marque badge to FR.

To our knowledge there should be one on there.

That three point star in the grill is not what I'm talking about. It's the cool wreath badge MB mounts on the hood of their vehicles.

Let me check on a unit in the plant. Did you get that from Demartini?

Mine is "missing" as well. Since we have the full body paint option I'm not too surprised...

The paint units I just looked at do not have the wreath Mercedes.

Thank you, Josh. Yes, Demartini RV in Grass Valley, CA is my dealer. A very good dealer I might add.

Congrats on the new RV. The grill has a pretty distinctive badge. MB owners were having trouble keeping the trademark badge on the hood. They were prone to theft. It's a bit harder to steal the grill!!! The hood slant on your RV is not really conducive to the traditional upright badge.

Safe to say all Sprinters come with the wreath badge attached. Full paint option Sprinters head off to the FR paint shop and end up without them. Guess where they went.

FYI - my 2016 full paint has it. I wasn't sure had to go out and check.

That's the one!! I'll bet every MBS owner went outside to check their hood. Sorry to cause such a frenzy, folks. OK, Josh, now where are those stinkin' badges? 😭

FYI - I checked for "Mercedes hood badge" on Amazon and they are $26. It said Forrest River was the seller. (Just joking about that part but they are out there)

2016 Sunseeker 2400r. Just peeked out into the driveway and I have the badge. Never noticed it before.
