No sound after bluetooth connected

My 2015 2401W comes with Jensen audio/video unit and worked fine for two years for devices with bluetooth connection (both android and apple phones) until recently. Now our phones can connect via bluetooth, but there is no sound coming out.
Has anyone had this problem? I wonder if the software on Jensen crashed and needs to be reinstalled.

If your 2015 is similar to mine, you've got the Jensen VM9726BT head unit. If not, ignore what follows!

The VM9726BT has a reset button, just above and slightly to the right of the volume knob. You probably need a pencil or something like that to push it.

Also, the main volume knob also serves as a mute button - could that have been pressed at some point?

Finally, do you have the user manual for your unit? Mine is nearly 100 pages long...

Good luck!

Dave

Hi Dave, that may do the trick. Didn't know the reset button. I'll test it next time I'm in my RV. Yes I know about the mute function of the volume knob and that is not the problem. Many thanks!

Dave, the reset worked! Thanks so much. I'm a happy camper again.

The same problem has occurred - no sound despite the connection. This time reset doesn't work. Has anyone had this issue?

My Jensen VM2726BT would not play music from my Samsung S7. Jensen technical support told me the VM2726BT is an old unit with 2010 blue tooth 3 technology and was discontinued in 2013. The VM2726BT is also not supported any longer. My phone is blue tooth 4.2. Samsung blogs report connection problems with older blue tooth technology. I am not sure what phone you have. In any event, I acquired a Jensen JVR 9000 and had it professionally installed and everything works great.

My 2015 MBS 2401 R was manufactured on a 2016 chassis. I was told that RV manufacturers buy accessories in large volume and as a result you can end up with with some accessories that are of an older vintage than your coach.

Do you mean VM9726BT? I have Samsung S7 also but, like I said, it worked fine more than a year. I suspect the Samsung software updates eventually made it incompatible with older bluetooth devices. You are right, Jensen does not have software upgrade. Right now I have to use audio cable which is annoying.

Yes the VM9726BT is correct. My Samsung S 7 also worked about 6 months to a year ago although it was always hard to pair the audio music. The telephone would always pair but not the music. I lost my old S 7 in the river and after I replaced it with a new S 7, The VM9726BT never did pair the music again. My Samsung S 7 works perfectly with all my other cars and now with the JRV9000.
