In my car (not a MB) it is an indicator (reminder) for a scheduled oil change. In your owners manual should be a procedure to reset it. Mine is ignition to on and press accelerator 3 times. All are different.

Looks to me like the oil level is just a tad too high - maybe trips the sensor when the engine is hot and oil has expanded a bit?

PS - I dunno if I'd be taking pictures when the speedometer shows 70 ...

I'm thinking that it was sensing too much oil, possibly due to a terrible road we were on. The level is right at the top, and it hasn't come back on in quite awhile now. That's a bit scary though when oil lights start flashing.

We have ONLY used ultra low sulphur diesel, and have pulled out of a LOT of gas stations to search for the ULSD fuel. That gets aggravating but I'm hoping it pays off with few troubles.

Believe all diesel sold for use in vehicles on road in both the US and Canada is ultra low sulfur, including the various biodiesel blends.

Believe percent biodiesel in the fuel is separate from the sulfur content.

Understand pumps supplying biodiesel above 5% are supposed to be labeled as such. Will also likely say “ULSD”. To comply with Mercedes’ recommended fuel, these are the ones to avoid(if possible).
