Outside water hose quick connect

Hello - we just arrived at a beach spot for the week and I knew the outside hose would be very needed for washing sand off etc... when I took the blue spiral hose off and tried to place it in the quick connect it won't go in or lock.

I had used it last year and it worked fine. I sprayed a bit of wd40 in it just to see if anything was locked up. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Try turning off your water and releasing the water pressure by opening a faucet. Pushing the quick disconnect in against water pressure can be difficult. Hard enough to push in without fighting water pressure!

X2. You need to dump water pressure from the system, then connecting will be easier.

I use cooking/olive oil as a lubricant on my quick connects.

Suggest you get one of these and a 2nd short hose. My experience with quick disconnects is that they're hard to connect and leak a lot.

I'm having other problem with this outside wash. No problem with connection but no water come out. The blue spiral hose is fill with water when disconnected. Oh my GOD!!! could it be the ultra intelligent FR mechanic didn't clear debris from hose during nasal and hose assembly?

That may very well be it. I recall having that exact problem with my pressure washer once, had to squeeze trigger first on the wand. Thanks.

If too much pressure is not the problem, this is what I will do. They may have a splitter like this in the campground store. Good solution. Thanks.

My rig outside wash connector looks like air pressure tank connector. It can't be use water hose connector unless modification is done to it.

I think yours is for water as well. It is a quick connect fitting like for air but used for water. At least it is on mine.
