A less than optimal pantry won't interrupt your trip, a failed taillight controller will (just look at the posts).

Good point - I have my Curt controller in his own little home. Here It is with the lid off. We had that issue on our first trip 1000 miles from home. 4 hours at a forest river dealer while on vacation was pointless but the forum allowed me to quickly diagnose the problem and fix myself. Still waiting for our dealer to call me with a update on our problem, as far as they know my lights are still out. The last words to me was there is no way it could be the Curt controller, its the new LED tail lights. That was 9 months ago but we are doing fine!

Our engineering team is way ahead of you Last I talked to our electrical engineer they had been working with Curt to find a new controller for the outside.

kysunseekermbs,
I have seen pull out pantries in homes and they have the slide brackets mounted on the floor of the cabinet. Since we do not have a cabinet floor at door bottom level how did you mount the slide hardware?

Good news! How can you tell when you get a new unit whether you have the old one where I better would do some mods or a new one?
And BTW - I highly appreciate all the support Brian and Joshua provide on those forums, as well as FR customer support. That is part of why I ordered a FR motor home again, I do not expect it to be trouble free but I know I am not left alone!

I'll check with engineering to see when a prototype comes through.

The slides are mounted to the bottom sides and there is one on the top middle. The bottom side slides have rear brackets as well that attach to the rear wall. Placing them both on the bottom would not be as strong as they can flex. The one on the top is just to keep it in line the bottoms are strong enough to hold the weight.

Great idea. I had a pull out on my last 5er and really liked it. I didn't even think about changing this one.Right now I have several rolls of paper towels in there keeping things from moving to the back. There is actually lots of room but access sucks.

Josh, that's really good news about the planned and in progress updates for the pantry, Curt controller, and LP tank. Any retrofits possible? If so, could we get part numbers?
My W came off line in May of last year. I have a friend who has one coming in July. I have the kinks worked out of mine by now. My friend will appreciate the improvements that have been made.

That looks great. I knew something better could be done with that pantry.

Update: I added threaded rods to each side of the shelves. We drove 400 miles with the pantry fully loaded and nothing turned over. The rods are inserted by slightly bending to go into holes on either side.
One thing I learned is a very heavy duty catch is needed as the weight can easily open it on a turn. We had to set the Yeti in front of it until one could be added.

For those who asked for plans I wanted to put some additional info out here. I did not include specific measurements as I expect there will be some inconsistencies in opening sizes. Note that my cabinet decreased in width as it went back and I had to account for that in the box size.
I used prefinished birch plywood with matching vinyl edge banding. The slides are 20" heavy duty 100 pound rated and can be purchased online or a hardware store such as Lowes. I also used the rear brackets you can get for the slides for additional support.

I wish the Grey Wolf line had a person like Joshua. Don't get that level of support in the Grey Wolf line.

Joshua ..... any word yet on the new pantry design with shelves? I ordered my 2401W at the beginning of June. Any idea whether that new design will be done for my delivery?

I'm unsure when it will be done. I only know it was in the works for a redesign.
