RV insurance

Who are you buying RV insurance from and how much every 6 months? I am buying from Ameriprise insurance for auto, home and rv. They are raising premium from $900 to $2400 for 6 months period. I've found Good Sam in much cheaper. 16 years with these people.

Wow, I use Progressive at about $700/yr with total replacement cost, accident forgiveness. I use Statefarm for my auto insurance but they can't come close. Good Sam is also a good candidate. I shopped Good Sam, Progressive, and State Farm. Progressive had the best plan. This is for a Cedar Creek 33IK 5th wheel.

Does the $2400 include all that coverage, home, auto, and RV? We are new to RV ownership, and already had the home and auto coverage with Allstate, and they done offer RV insurance. We got a one year RV policy with Progressive, and the premium is about $600.

I am in the 600 range as well. We have liberty mutual for auto and home and when I called to add the RV he told me to call progressive that they couldn't even come close to their rates on RV's. He did quote out for me just to see and it was 900 through liberty mutual.

No it's only 1 car, 1 tacoma and rv. My home is another $450. Good Sam insurance $895 for Tacoma and Forester per year. I'll find on Monday about my home. AARP $987 for auto/rv and $387 for home. AARP and Good Sam would be my choices.

We have ours thru The Hartford (AARP), we pay about 1500/yr for our car, truck and trailer. 1000 deductible on car and truck, 500 on trailer with full replacement value.

I have the same deductible with The Hartford AARP. With Hartford on motorhome choice I have to select other because they don't have Forest River. Monday, they will have all information about my rv and if the quote still stand as is than I will buy from them. It's the best I've found so far.

I pay $191 a year full coverage through progessive, 500 deductible. I thought that was high but maybe not?

I just got a quote from Geico for my RV and 1 car for $820/year. I am leaving Liberty Mutual who wanted 720 for the car alone and another 2600 for the RV.

I had the exact same experience. I don't know why but Progressive seems to be able to beat just about everyone for RV and motorcycle insurance.

I've asked some other companies about their rates and when I say I have progressive, they don't even bother to give me a quote.

The liability insurance doesn't cost much at all. It's the Comprehensive and Collision that cost a fortune. You can really lower the cost on those by pushing the deductibles to $500 or $1000 if you can bear he smaller losses. Buying insurance for all the small stuff is really the most expensive coverage.

I got it all covered through Good Sam like unit replacement and such for $905 per 6 months (2000 Honda accord, 2010 Toyota Tacoma and 2016 2401R). It should be good for awhile and much better than $4800 per year through Ameriprise.

After reading how many of you got good deals with Progressive, I gave them a call yesterday. $691/year for the RV and $928/year for a 10 year old Infinity for a total of $1619.

For me, Geico wins with a 6 month rate of $409 total for the same coverage for both vehicles which is $818/year. Maybe it's a location thing. Connecticut is expensive for almost everything.
