Slide Out Thump

Hi, all.
I've got a 2016 Sunseeker MBS 2400S and have generally been happy with it. Mechanically, it's been great. Until this trip.
First day out I was stuck in Medford, Oregon for three days while the local MB dealer tried t figure out why I went into limp mode about 200 miles from home. Turned out to be a short in the fuel delivery system (which was covered by warranty).
Once I finally got into California to setup camp, my slide acted up (never any sign of a problem before this). I was sliding the slide out and as it hit the spot where the motor usually cuts out there was two loud thumps beneath the floor of the RV. I tried to retract the slide and it worked but as I put it out again the same thing happened. I looked under the RV and I didn't see anything amiss (but then I've never really examined the mechanism before). I don't have the slide book with me and I'm not sure how worried I should be about this. I have a couple of more nights of camping before I reach my end destination of Phoenix where I assume I will have the luxury of time to figure out what has happened. Should I not use the slide in the meantime? Anyone else have this or a similar problem before? Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you sure it is not the slide just hitting the stops at slightly different times?

Well, don't think so. It's quite a loud noise and it thumps enough that I can feel it though the floor. It's pretty troubling and, in any event, nothing that has ever happened before tonight. I do wonder if somehow the rails aren't extending evenly (although they look like it).

I have an s too
My slide started acting up, making thumps, not going in right. Being our dealers service dept not great, I fixed myself. Opened up propane compartment, looked up at shaft from motor that turns gears that cause slide to extend and the bolt that holds shaft in place fell out. Also all the bolts that hold motor in place were loose. Found bolt to affix shafts together and tightened all bolts
Now it runs real smooth. I complained to dealer but he said normal.

Normal??? Too funny. You should name the dealer so buyers are warned.

Did you hold the switch when it retracted for a bit to make sure the motors are synced?

You can also look at the rollers under the slide when it's extended.

I would check into holding the slide switch for 5or so seconds. The 24s he's only one motor and my dealer said that that is not nesesary because there is not two motors.and not to do it you could burn up your motor.

For the swintec slide motor which is what we are referring to, this is correct. I get my info from the manufacturers not the dealer.

The dealers simply many times don't know or share this important info.

The instructions clearly state this. It's how the motors sync.

Was the dealer referring to the noise or the lack of good QC causing loose bolts?

I wonder if there is a specific torque value for those 4 bolts that hold the motor to mount? Don't want to over tighten and strip bolts. Maybe josh could tell us
