SLOW Shower drain

I noticed our shower drain was starting to back up while showering. I removed the drain strainer and shined a flashlight down the drain. There is what appears to be some kind of flimsy rubber tubing inside the drain. Ive never seen anything like it in my 20 years of RV'ing. Has anyone else run into this?
I made a small hook with a coat hanger and snagged it. It tore a small piece of it off but it appears to be glued in inside the drain?

Your shower has a HepVO waste valve. It needs water pressure to open the end of the flap. Being under the shower floor it is installed horizontally so the water pushes through it slowly. It's not the best design but I guess it works.

If it is installed vertically then there should have been enough room to put a regular P-trap instead.

Yep thats it.... When I used the plunger it must have sucked the flat (drain) end, up into the 90 at the drain making it visible. I used the blow side of my wet dry vac to blow it back where it belongs.... But my shower drain is still slow to where it backs up into the shower pan while using it.

I don't think there's much you can do about it being slow draining. Like I said, it's not the best design.
