Question sprinter side mirrors

Are the side mirrors supposed to "bend" back? After our last oil change, we noticed that the passenger mirror was out of adjustment. The dealer's car wash must have bumped it back. We were able to push back to the original position. My question is - are they supposed to move back. It would be nice for narrow tunnels or on a ferry.

Yes, that is how they work.

Someone had mentioned on an earlier post that the mirrors do go back, but that they require quite a bit of force to do so.

Yes they do fold, but b
need a bit of silicone lubricant at first. After I read this post I tried my mirrors after spraying lubricant and both mirrors now fold, yea

So the mirrors fold out? I would think they would fold in towards the vehicle (like my truck mirrors) but never put enough pressure on them to do, afraid I would break them! Thanks for clarifying this!

Mine fold in, towards the vehicle door.

Mine also fold in toward the door. In other words, towards the rear of the coach. Three notches.
