I have the same unit that you have. No surge protector only circuit breakers. That the kind of thing we have to buy extra.

Raptor is right, FR would never pop for a surge protector. At Least not on any TT or 5ers. So add in another 250 bucks or so, as they say don't leave home without it...

I agree progressive industries and it's a "have to item" as well as tire pressure monitoring system and a water pressure regulator.

RVs should come with them, I know they try to keep costs down but people shouldn't be driving and camping with out them. I wouldn't of even known I needed them if not for the forum!

We were on a 50 AMP site at a KOA last night. The Progressive kicked off three times this morning as we were preparing breakfast. Low voltage on one leg of the 50A power. Who knows what damage may have occurred if we did not have the Progressive unit.
Yes, don't leave home without it!!!

Love my Wildcat 295RSX!

I killed me on to spend on the hard wired unit but I have already had it kick off for low and high voltage more than once in a year! Love it. I went hardwired because I have heard they can walk away when plugged in to outside of RV.

Something is better than nothing, but it would prolly be a wfco. Cheap is better.

I chain ours to the pedestal with a combination lock so I don't worry about losing the key. My RV key chain already looks like a jailer's ring! No more keys!

One of the first mods was installing the Progressive Industries EMS.
