Well, let me start by saying that I don't know much about this topic!
But, that being said, I've installed the Hellwig bar and Sumo rear bump stops on my 24R. My intent was to stiffen up the ride and reduce sway induced by both road and wind conditions ... and I feel as though the changes have helped.
But a stiffer suspension also seems likely to result in a harsher ride. It seems possible that the Koni's might soften things a little as I think some shocks can respond differently depending on the type of hit they're taking. But even if that's the case, the beefier sway bar and bump stops are still going to transmit additional harshness to the chassis.
Bottom line - it seems to me that most changes that reduce sway and improve control are also likely to contribute to a harsher ride on bad road surfaces.
Maybe someone who really knows about this stuff can chime in???
