Things that drive you nuts!

Last week, I had the dome light (cab) of my MBS Sprinter class C go out. No big deal, right? Guess again - RV dealer does not carry the bulb, NAPA does not have the bulb, order from Amazon, with guaranteed fit for the vehicle - nope, too short. Well, Mercedes Benz must have it right - wrong. Finally called Bulbs and Batteries and it seems that they have two options, standard and LED. Going down today and buying a couple of bulbs - one for a spare. Cannot believe how hard it is to find a basic thing like a light bulb! Hope this helps anyone before they have to go through this scenario.

I just noticed that mine is out too. I am wondering if you checked the bulb with a meter? Do you have a part number for it?

I ended up with the LED build from Batteries and Bulbs, p/n FES-44-3W. Bulb was $14.95 with 5 year guarantee. Can probably find it cheaper elsewhere, but time was more valuable than a few dollars. I did try texting old light bulb with ohm meter, and even though filament looked good, there was zero continuity on it. Bad bulb.

My local NAPA store has the dome light bulb and even tested the old bulb continuity for me. The old bulb visually looked OK but wasn't.

High Desert ... mine is still good, but thanks for the word. Somehow your dilemma sounds too common. I think maybe I'll follow your cue and upgrade mine to LED before it goes out. Last year I added a dual USB power just forward of the dome light and connected it to the power line there. It was a real easy to do and a very convenient location for powering my camera and an occasional other item.

For me it's the wording on the screen for my backup/rear view camera saying something like "Caution - Images may be reversed" or something of the like. The writing couldn't be in a worse location on the screen...and no apparent way of removing it...
