I need to replace my tires on my 2016 Solera 24R, any recommendations?

How many miles do you have on those tires?

I have 24,000 miles, I am looking at Michelins Defender LTX. We have a long trip planned to Maine next summer and will be putting on 5,000 miles next summer.

The reason I ask is, I have 50,000 on my 2014 24R and the Continental tire tread is like new. Very little ware. I plan on replacing with Continentals when the time comes. Just curious as to why you would need to replace with 24,000 on the tires. Thanks for your reply.

On my third set of tires on our MBS (2012 Solera). Continentals went about 34000. Could have squeezed maybe another 5000 out of them, but didn’t want problems on the road. First set of Michelins (from Costco) went about 55000. Again, probably could have gone another 5000.
Now on the second set of Michelins and at about 93000 on the vehicle, so maybe 4000 on these tires. Got these from Tirerack.com, had them shipped to a local shop who installed them. They handle and ride better than the previous two sets of tires in my opinion.

Which model Michelins are you using? Or do they only have one tire in the MBS size?

Thanks!

If there not worn out most folks will replace their tires when about 8 years old.

There is a date code on every tire sidewall.

If you purchase new tires , check to see how old the tires are before installing them.

Michelin!

Michelin LTX M/S tires on my Tundra, my son's Tacoma, my 92 4Runner (several sets) and will be soon on our Forester MBS.

I expect the Michelin tires to be quieter, longer lasting and provide better dry and wet traction than the Continentals. Hope that is what others have experienced.
